David Daniel is an American cinematographer and director who worked on MTV's Teen Wolf from 2011 to 2017.
Career[]
Daniel got his start in the entertainment industry as an extra in Alfred Hitchcock's 1963 film The Birds where the school children are chased by crows.
He eventually learned about camera work and began his cinematography career with a special contribution to the film Boogie Nights in 1997. Since then, her has lent his skills to various documentaries and short films such as Snapped, Capital, Judo Girl, and Rio. This would eventually lead to working on films like War, Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood, Frank the Bastard, A Talent for Trouble, The Devil's Rejects, Honey: Rise Up and Dance, American Psycho, Beethoven's Big Break, and Rob Zombie's Halloween and Halloween II.
He also extended his work into television with Season 3 and 4 of The Walking Dead, Wolf Pack, and 2015's Eye Candy, another MTV series.
Teen Wolf[]
Bring a part of production since the beginning in Atlanta, Georgia; Daniel started as a camera operator for Season 1 and Season 2 while acting as director of photography for the pilot episode Wolf Moon.
When production moved to Los Angeles, California; he became a fulltime director of photography for Season 3, Season 4, eighteen episodes of Season 6, and twelve episodes of Season 5 (Lies of Omission to Apotheosis) Daniel also directed the episodes Ouroboros and Sundowning.
He returned as the cinematographer for Teen Wolf: The Movie.
