Eichen House is a mental health facility within the fictional world of MTV's Teen Wolf.
The exterior and some of the interior lobby and group therapy scenes were filmed at the Mary Andrews Clark Memorial Residence in Downtown Los Angeles.
History[]
The facility was in service since 1912. (Said the Spider to the Fly)
Military Hospital[]
During World War II, Eichen House was used as a military hospital. In addition to military personnel, Eichen was used to treat prisoners from the nearby Oak Creek Internment Camp.
During an outbreak of bacterial pneumonia, a number of prisoners died because one of the doctors was stealing and selling the M&B Sulphapyridine needed to treat the disease. This led to a riot and the release of a Nogitsune. None of the Eichen House patients or staff survived the ensuing slaughter. (The Fox and the Wolf)
Mental Health Facility[]
As a mental health facility, Eichen House appears to treat a full range of illnesses. It gained the nickname "Echo House" among its patients due to the way sound and events seem to echo there. (Echo House)
Supernatural Lockup[]
One floor at Eichen House is used by Dr. Conrad Fenris as a prison ward for supernatural creatures with Halwyn being one its earliest residents. He built the closed unit so that he would always have room for himself in case an ancient evil ever returned. (Said the Spider to the Fly, Raw Talent)
Several different types of shapeshifters are incarcerated there. (A Promise to the Dead)
The ward has Mountain Ash framed cells to keep supernatural creatures in. (Smoke & Mirrors)
Aside from the mountain ash, it also has electromagnetic fields, ley lines, from the telluric currents that keep beings such as the Dread Doctors out of the facility. (A Novel Approach)
Dr. Gabriel Valack was once Chief Medical Officer at Eichen and performed trepanation surgeries on creatures in the special ward. His theory was that the surgery would enhance their abilities. It worked but also resulted in their deaths. After regaining control of the hospital, he used the same surgery to amplify Lydia Martin's abilities until one of her screams shattered his skull. (Amplification, Lie Ability)
Dr. Fenris eventually killed all the remaining inmates in the lock-up while under the influence of the Anuk-Ite after it escaped the Wild Hunt. (Raw Talent)
Peter meets Scott and Malia in the lockup where he demonstrates blind obedience using a scared hunter who is trying to kill them. (Werewolves of London)
Deputies under Monroe's influence trap Parrish in Halwyn's freezer cell until he is rescued by Sheriff Stilinski. (The Wolves of War)

He is fully aware of the inmates abilities and makes sure every precaution is taken seriously, especially with Dr. Valack. When Valack took over the hospital, he was "taken away" until Valack was defeated. In, Raw Talent, he killed all of the supernatural inmates in the facility.
Schrader[]
Schrader is an orderly at Eichen House who becomes in league with Valack after the doctor escapes. He assisted Nurse Cross in "caring" for Lydia and he took enjoyment in poking her arm with a hypodermic needle multiple times until Lydia's powerful scream threw him against a wall. Some time after Theo's pack break into Eichen House, he was fired.
Nurse Cross[]
Nurse Cross is a stern and cruel nurse also working with Valack. She claimed that Lydia was faking her vegetative state and Cross did not hold back her cruel remarks towards Lydia. When Theo's pack broke into Eichen House, she and Valack enter an old lab below the hospital. When Valack placed a Dread Doctor helmet on her, it killed her and her body was stashed in a Plexiglas cell.
