As Executive Producer, Head Writer and Show Creator, Jeff Davis is the creative force behind MTV’s Teen Wolf.

Early Life and Career[]

He was born in Milford, Connecticut in 1975. He has a degree in film from Vassar College and a master’s degree in screenwriting from the University of Southern California.

Davis worked as a script reader, editorial assistant, writer for computer software manuals and computer support specialist in Los Angeles while struggling to sell his own writing.

In 2003, Davis sold a script to CBS television that eventually became the hit series Criminal Minds. He served as co-executive producer during the first season of the show.

He later adapted Edo van Belkom's book series Wolf Pack into a television series for Paramount+ which premiered on January 26, 2023.

Teen Wolf[]

In 2008, Davis began talks with MTV about a reboot of the Michael J. Fox 80s comedy Teen Wolf. He says he jumped at the project due to his love of the horror genre. He notes among his influences writers Stephen King and Thomas Harris.

Being the Head Writer, Davis has written 41 episodes as of Season 6, six of which were partnered with fellow writer Ian Stokes.

In an interview, prior to Season 6, Davis announced he was "stepping back" from show. He would still be the showrunner, but not be as hands on with the scripts as he normally would be.

He made a voice cameo in Riders on the Storm as a police officer who found a dead body in the woods.

In 2021, Davis production for a reunion movie began with Davis returning as executive producer and writer.
