Just read your Buffy crossover stuff. Brilliant, loved the Teen Wolf, the VD, and even some True Blood (liked that you incorporated some of their werewolf lore into the Teen Wolf stuff, like abjuring and the Alpha Werewolf).

Then I started going through some of the character pages, and got to Derek's. Scanned, started to scroll down. Stopped. Did a double check.

    Name: Derek Hale

    Aliases: None

    Status: Alive, active

    SpeciesBeta Werewolf (Purebred)

    Sexuality: Bisexual

Family: Sisters Laura Hale (deceased) and Cora Hale, Uncle Peter Hale, mother Talia Hale (deceased)

    ResidenceHale HouseSunnydale

Occupation: Graduate of Sunnydale High School, presumed college educated

Affiliation: The Hale Pack, formerly Sunnydale High School and Sunnydale Basketball Team

Three guesses as to what part of that made me burst out laughing.

    • Thank you! The amount of stuff that I've worked in is sometimes a little overwhelming (that's why I needed to build my Wiki, to keep it all straight in my head! :P) but it's kind of gotten to a point where I'm like "I like this fictional world. How can I fit into my crossover?" It's been a lot of fun so far!

I am definitely gonna have to look up that book!

It's essentially the story of the universe from a very sarcastic Loki's perspective. It's great.

  • Just wanted to say thank you for pointing me to the Aborigine myth website.

On another note: I would like to apologize if I've ever came across as a dick to you. I never intended to. I guess sometimes our passion for certain topics will butt against one another and while I may disagree (a little too dickishly perhaps) I do respect your input. So again, sorry and I hope there are no hard feelings.

Oh and thanks again for the information!

    • Oh, no problem!!

And, yeah, no, you're cool. I know I can get pretty heated about these things too, so even when we're disagreeing (which isn't that often, really) and I sound like I hate you (:P), I totally know where you're coming from and you're always good in my book! :)

    • Thanks man, I really appreciate that. Oh and while I may dislike Buffy...I actually read a little of your story and give you props on it. Pretty good narratives.

    • Thank you!! I always appreciate feedback on it, and if someone who doesn't like Buffy liked it I call that high praise! :)

  • Your Mega Crossover story is really good! I really like how it mixes everything, and it makes sense. How many chapters/ "episodes" of season 1 are you planning on writing?

    • Oh thank you!! I promise it's going to get even better, things are going to branch out a little bit from the shows.

I'm not completely sure if I'm going to break up each school year into multiple seasons like Teen Wolf does, or do each school year as a season like Buffy. (Probably the Teen Wolf method, just because I think it'll be more manageable. :P) If I end the season at Code Breaker (the TW s1 finale), there'll be seven more chapters/episodes. The next one's almost done... kinda, I hope? :P

  • no offense but buffy and teen wolf is like

    ketchup and oil

    tea and juice

    • I really, really don't see how it's weird at all. They have SO much in common, merging them seems like.... basic. It's almost too easy.

You know what would be nice, though, is actual feedback about, y'know, *why* you think it doesn't work? Or what it is you didn't like? Because this comment has given me exactly no constructive information either time you've said it. :P

    • I am just giving my opinion.

Buffy and teenwolf doesnt really mesh at all.

  • Are you getting the feeling the Parrish thing is going to be the 'Stiles used magic' situation all over again? I'm hoping it's not, but the arguments are definitely having a similar vibe.

    • Thank God for you LadyX because sometimes I feel like you're the only other person on this site with the slightest bit of understanding about how to present a story.

    • Well thank you. You're quite the godsend yourself. I start to feel like I'm the crazy one around here for the way I look at things and the things I see that no one else seems to. But then there you are, getting it.

I love this show, it's still entertaining, it's just got bad writing, if that makes sense. But I don't know how any of the writers have jobs. Writing wise, I think I've seen better from high school kids. For god sake, Jeff forgot that Lydia and Peter might have some animosity! Who does that? Dropped story lines left and right...no continuity...gah, so infuriating! I didn't care for s2, but it wasn't so bad. I'm just hoping a lot of 3s suck ones was losing Haynes and Golightly without a lot of time to fix the story lien. Because I honestly felt 3b was good, certainly better than 3a, probably because they had time to work on it. Not that it didn't have it's issues too, like Kira's moms weird aging, the werecoyote thing that's yet to be explained, and general weirdness about Eichen House

    • I don't think I love Teen Wolf so much as the potential the show has -- which is never reached by the writers and I can't fathom why.

But even when it's good, one of the main problems I have is that Jeff feels the need to bring in an entire new cast of characters. It's the problem Buffy's seventh season had (not enough time with tried and true characters in favor of the vast array of new people) except in Teen Wolf we get it every season. :P

    • I think I'm going to steal that line. It's a much more succinct way of putting my feelings for the show into words.
