Born in Zimbabwe, Mlambo left the country in 2005 for an education in the United States. She attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas before moving around to places like New York, Spain, and South Africa until she finally settled in Los Angeles, California.
Prior to college, she was the second princess in the Miss Zim-USA contest in 2007.
She started her acting career in 1997 in the film Kini & Adams as Bongi.
It wasn't until 2012 when Mlambo got a small role in Beaver Falls that her career began to flourish. She began appearing in television shows like Mad Dogs, Strike Back, Homeland and Jamillah and Aladdin as well as films like Ladygrey, The Last Face, Back to School Mom, Detour, and Message from the King.
Her most notable role to date is the slave Eme from Black Sails (2014-2017) which served as a prequel series to "Treasure Island."
In 2016, she played a major role as Ishani Mfeke in Honey 3: Dare to Dance.
