Could the Alpha Pack be connected to Gerard?

I've been thinking ever since I heard the leader of the Alpha Pack say "The best way to get rid of an enemy is to get somebody else to do it for you." I've thought about how Gerard and his son Chris had a conversation around the same subject apparently it was something Gerard taught Chris. So I have to wonder if Gerard and this new villain know each other.
