Crystal Reed Got Ditched at Prom

So you thought her character’s prom experience was bad? You know, finds out her boyfriend was a werewolf and then her mother tried to send her off to Siberia and her best friend was mauled by a werewolf and…

Okay, so Allison wins the “My Prom Sucked” contest but Crystal has a pretty terrible story of her own.

She got ditched.

"I went to prom with my boyfriend, but after the dance he left me at a party all by myself. It was awful!"

The prom confession is part of a series of articles featured in Seventeen Magazine called “When I was 17”.

Among the other Crystal Reed revelations –

  • She loved her high school Speech class
  • She worked at Baskin Robbins
  • She dated a jerk of a jock
  • People thought she was “overly confident” but really she was just “quiet”

You can read the whole thing at the Seventeen.com site.

WARNING: It is one of those uselessly annoying slide show things that websites do so they can stick more ads in – there’s no way to just read the article.

Your Votes on Facebook Mean Nothing

The entry period for the Teen Wolf Walk-On Role Contest is over and the folks at MTV/Teen Wolf official have a major misunderstanding on their hands.

For weeks they’ve been posting hopeful’s videos to their facebook page and allowing folks to vote on their favorite.

There’s just one problem, those votes don’t have any impact on who will win the contest.

To their credit, the Teen Wolf Social Media people have been saying that from the start.

Unfortunately they seem to misunderstand the basic psychology involved - in America, the one with the most votes wins.

No matter how many times you tell them that is not the case or explain the electoral college and the difference between popular and electoral votes – the default for the American brain remains the same.

Most Votes = Winner

This misunderstanding reached a somewhat heated point after the contest entry period closed –

@MTVteenwolf - Let's clear this up once and for all - the votes in the #TeenWolf Walk-On Role Contest do not matter. Every single video will be judged. :)

The smiley emoticon at the end did not mask the terse nature of the tweet. Of course MTV could have avoided the whole issue by simply disabling the vote function on the app.

They’ll know better next time I guess.
