Tyler Posey Checkin’ Out Guys
Teen Wolf Fandom has been obsessed with Stiles’ sexuality and has apparently ignored Tyler Posey’s inquiring mind.
On Sunday’s episode of the “In the Room Podcast”, Posey explains that he’s been reaching out to the gay members of the Teen Wolf Family in an effort to foster a better understanding between the orientations.
- “There’s a lot of gay people who work on my show and I’ve been trying to connect with them and seeing who, uh, like what guys I think are attractive or not and I always get it wrong.”
He then proceeds to perform his British accent (not half bad) and describes himself as the “coolest motherf**ker”.
Worth a listen don’t you think?
It’s the February 3rd episode entitled ‘Driving the Sexual Bull’ and Tyler’s bit starts in the last 12 minutes of the show.
He’s actually on the show because he won their Hot 100 Playoffs.
Posey bested Demi Moore and Olivia Wilde and hundreds of other celebrities to take the top spot.
Ratings? We don’t need no stinking Ratings
(actually we totally DO need ratings, the above headline is just meaningless bravado)
Remember back several months ago when I wrote that long diatribe about how your social media activity surrounding Teen Wolf was just as important as the ratings the show gets?
Yeah, probably not, it remains one of the least read articles on this site but, turns out, I was right on target.
For the first time I can remember, a mainstream television network, The CW, is lauding the fact that their shows are tops on something called the “Social Series List”.
- The Vampire Diaries fans threw a #TVDparty throughout social media last week, generating nearly 865,000 social interactions across Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue and Viggle according to Trendrr.TV, taking a bite out of former list topper American Idol and besting iconic hits such as The Simpsons, Family Guy and Glee.
If you looked at the ratings for that week, TVD did 2.7 million viewers but the network says that extra 865 thousand social media interactions suggests the true audience is much larger.
Ratings are still the biggest lure for advertising dollars but it’s no longer the only way for networks to judge the success of a show.
Even the ratings company Nielsen says they’re going to start tracking twitter in addition to their traditional headcount of viewers.
Bottom Line: All the Teen Wolf activity on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and the other timesucks of the internet matter.
If nothing else you’re letting the network suits know that you exist and you’re watching even if you don’t show up in the Nielsen Overnights.
