Teen Wolf Doubling Dylan
A confusing Teen Wolf casting notice popped up this week.
It seems they’re looking for a “Photo Double” of Dylan O’Brien for filming. In and of itself this type of notice isn’t that unusual. The production finds photo doubles for their main actors all the time. What’s confusing about this one is that they’re looking to double Dylan O’Brien from Teen Wolf Season 1. The notice even mentions cutting the look-alike’s hair back to Stiles’ former buzz cut.
Honestly we can’t be sure what this is all about but, because they use the term “photo double,” the implication is that the person cast appears on camera.

Late on Thursday the production began casting for another Dylan Look-alike, one closer to his current appearance.
Teen Wolf is still filming scenes for the first half of Season 6. MTV has yet to set a debut date for the show.
Filmmakers to blame for Dylan O’Brien Accident
WorkSafe BC has released portions of their report on the accident that left Dylan O’Brien severely injured back in March.
According to the Canadian workplace safety officials, O’Brien wasn’t given proper instruction before attempting a stunt and the safety lanyard and rope attached to him was too short.

The Globe and Mail of Canada apparently obtained a copy of the full report from WorkSafe BC that details events leading up to the failed stunt on the set of The Maze Runner: The Death Cure. According to the report, O’Brien was given “minimal instruction” in how to navigate the scene which required him to jump from one moving vehicle to another.
The report also says the safety lanyard was too short which caused O’Brien to be pulled off one vehicle and suspended in the air between the two. As we reported last month, a source describing the accident to Teen Wolf News said that “(Dylan was) yanked to the ground by his own safety vehicle and dragged under it.”
The report also says changes were made to the “planned and rehearsed” action scene because they wanted to get the shot in one sequence instead of two.
“When the change was made to the sequence,” the report states, “there was no meeting held to review the changes with all involved. The worker performing the action sequence received minimal instruction on this new action sequence.”
Worksafe inspectors found that the change in the stunt increased the risk of injury because he was going between two vehicles that were not connected.
The rigger was reportedly trying to let out more rope to keep Dylan from being pulled off the lead vehicle but there wasn’t enough rope. “This resulted in the worker being pulled off the leading vehicle, striking the ground due to the length of rope and then being partially suspended in front of the trailing vehicle. This resulted in a serious injury to the worker.”
O’Brien’s injuries were so bad production of The Death Cure had to be scrapped. The studio has now delayed its planned release almost a year to January 2018.
The Globe contacted 20th Century Fox studio for comment on the WorkSafe report. Chris Petrikin, the executive vice-president and chief communications officer, responded. “While we don’t agree with all of the findings of the Inspection Report, we deeply regret that this terrible accident occurred and the serious injuries it caused to Dylan O’Brien,”
Petrikin claims there are “inaccuracies” in the report but would not elaborate on what those might be. He also declined to answer questions about the future of the film or O’Brien’s current condition saying only, “Our primary concern now is Dylan’s full recovery from this accident.”
The production company involved, Fox U.S. Productions 49 Inc., issued a report that contradicts what WorkSafe inspectors found. They claimed the scene was “thoroughly rehearsed and successfully completed” five times before the accident. The report also said the length of the safety lanyard was discussed and demonstrated prior to filming and that “Safety bulletins were issued to cast and crew.”
They lay the blame for the accident squarely on one of the drivers, “on preliminary investigation, it appears that the trailing vehicle slowed prematurely.”
Disney Presents Prince Posey
Over the years a lot of folks have noted the resemblance between Teen Wolf Tyler Posey and Disney’s Aladdin but now it seems Posey will become an actual Disney Prince.
He’ll be the voice of Prince Alonso in the new animated series Elena of Avalor. Posey’s character is described as “a charming prince from the Argentine-inspired Kingdom of Cordoba.”

Set in the enchanted fairy tale land of Avalor, the series tells the story of Elena, a brave and adventurous teenager who has saved her kingdom from an evil sorceress and must now learn to rule as crown princess until she is old enough to be queen. The stories incorporate influences from diverse Latin and Hispanic cultures through architecture, traditions, food and customs. Magic, mythology, folklore and music also play an important role, with each episode featuring original songs spanning an array of Latin musical styles including Mariachi, Latin Pop, Salsa, Banda and Chilean Hip Hop.
The first trailer for the show suggests the prince is a traditional “save the damsel” type but Princess Elena ~insert sassy finger wag~ don’t need no man to protect her.

Elena of Avalor debuts on the Disney Channel and other related platforms in July.
Behind the Scenes
MTV promotions folks were in Beacon Hills this past week filming behind the scenes interviews and doing some fan service at Teen Wolf HQ.
Part of that included escorting wishers from the Make a Wish Foundation to meet their favorite Teen Wolf Stars. There was also a flurry of BTS pics of various folks working.
There's still no debut date set for Teen Wolf yet but the MTV promotions machine seems to be cranking up a bit.
