091514 - Image Dump
These are a bunch of leftover images that we collected during Season 4 but couldn't use for various reasons - mostly on account of spoilers and stuff.
- Kira from her roof-top battle with the berserker in Time of Death
- Some Brett and Lori action from their flight from the hunters in Monstrous
- Kate and the berserkers meeting with the biker assassins in Orphaned
- Some stuff from the finale shoot at Blue Cloud Ranch for Smoke & Mirrors
- The Kanima arm you saw sticking out at Eichen House in A Promise to the Dead
- Kira's stab wound from the finale and Derek's loft after Kate wrecked it in Promise to the Dead
090814 - Fake Mexico
The Teen Wolf gang is off to Mexico again in the Season Finale.
Actually, they’re heading to "Fake Mexico".
If I’m being honest, they are heading to "Fake Mexico" and then to "REALLY Fake Mexico".
Okay – that got away from me a bit. Here’s what I mean.
When they’re outside in Mexico during the finale, they shot in “fake Mexico.” They shot this episode of “fake Mexico” on June 25 at the Blue Cloud Ranch which is also on TV a lot as “fake Afghanistan” and “fake Iraq.”
Note the greenscreen at the end of the street so they can fill in the background later with “CGI Mexico.” They worked all night on some of the outside stuff.
Then they got to come home to finish the episode because “REALLY fake Mexico” is actually a set they built in Northridge, California. Whenever they’re inside the church or the temple at La Iglesia it’s actually on the set at Teen Wolf Headquarters.
One other interesting item you should look at in the finale – what is up with Posey’s stomach in this picture?
UPDATE: Thanks to the BTS stuff in Being Tyler Posey, we now know those are Tyler's Berserker pants.
083114 - Crew Back on Set
While Teen Wolf cast and crew wrapped principal photography on Season 4 back on July 1st, they had to return to set this month for reshoots.
In movies, reshoots are often seen as a bad thing. The movie isn't testing well the way they did it the first time so they go back in to try to salvage scenes that aren't working. In the case of Teen Wolf, it's more likely they got into the editing process and figured out they didn't have everything they needed for the last few episodes and brought the gang back to grab a few extra shots.
There were only a handful of actors on set for the day but it included the unkillable Ryan Kelley and Tyler Schnabel who is the stand-in for both Tyler Posey and Dylan O'brien. You might also recognize him as the werewolf that was coughing up a lung in The Chemist laboratory at the beginning of Weaponized.
If they did their work properly, you won't even notice which scenes were redone.
But now, according to high ranking crew, the Season 4 shoot is officially over - they've turned off the lights and locked the doors on Teen Wolf Studios until "the fall."
081914 - Bonus Videos!

B. Why didn't they release these while they were filming to better hype the season?

081814 - Tonight on Teen Wolf
Very few things have been happening behind the scenes over the past month.
The show is being moved into the 7PM timeslot on Sunday August 24. It is a one time scheduling thing that will place the episode before the Pre-Show for the MTV Video Music Awards.
The episode will then re-run in its regular Monday 10PM timeslot on August 25.
We will be posting the full recap after the initial airing on Sunday - so avoid this site if you don't plan to watch it that night.
Again - that's NEXT SUNDAY at 7PM on MTV
Tonight on Teen Wolf we apparently get to go to a party... at school?
We saw all this stuff during filming of this episode back in May -
It was also during the filming of this block of episodes that a certain someone returned to Beacon Hills for the first time in forever.
So far he's done a drop-by on the after shows but it remains to be seen if he's actually on the show for a cameo.

071714 - X-Factor Meets Teen Wolf
According to published reports, X-Factor Girl Group Fifth Harmony is going to be on Teen Wolf this season.
Maybe?
This article in the Orange County Register quotes 5th Harmonizer Dinah Jane Hansen -
- “We landed here at 8 a.m. and had fans that were surrounding us. It took us an hour to get out, it’s always like that at LAX. Then we were off to do (the MTV series) ‘Teen Wolf,’ then into rehearsal for the ‘Today’ show, then ...”
This would have been at the end of June - after the group's shows in Ohio.
Now, they are most likely performing on Wolf Watch or something since on the dates in question the cast and crew was working like mad to finish the Season 4 finale.
Of course there is that party scene in Episode 9 or 10... no, it's probably not an "in universe" appearance.
071414 - Full MoonDay
Tonight's episode of Teen Wolf will see the first full moon of the season and a first look at Lydia's Lake House.
The lake house set was built inside Teen Wolf HQ in Northridge California - complete with a tiny little lake and trees.
These are shots from the final construction of the lake house set. They also had to build a full moon for the episode - even though the moon outside was nearly full while they were shooting.
It seems the real moon just won't cooperate when you need a reflection in a certain spot.
Also tonight - we'll find out what happens to Liam after Scott's life-saving bite. Teen Wolf debuts tonight at 10 PM EDT on MTV.
070714 - Back in the Game
Tonight's episode marks the return of lacrosse to Teen Wolf.
The location for the practice field and the games is Woodley Park in Van Nuys, CA.
In addition to the sports - we'll visit the Victoria Park neighborhood of Los Angeles for a murder scene.
And see a bit of rooftop action at Teen Wolf HQ.
Tonight's episode will also mark the first appearance of professional creepy guy Joseph Gatt as the mouthless man.
070114 - Neverending Night
This was posted shortly after 6AM PDT this morning -
The crew was entering their 15th hour on set as they try to wrap up primary photography on the Season 4 finale episode.
It was a busy and apparently exhausting night/early morning.
Director and Producer Russell Mulcahy and Tyler Posey were on the floor. Arden Cho says she spent part of the night kitted out for lacrosse.
Tyler Hoechlin was on set too - he tweeted that it would be his last night of the Season.
Ian Bohen was selfie-boy overnight - giving us this "deep V" tableau featuring JR Bourne.
We've also got this little flashback to when Ian Nelson and Michael Forjbak sneaked on to set to do their flashback scene.
While there is currently no rest for our wolfies - their grueling year and a half schedule (Seasons 3(a)/3(b) & 4) is nearly over.
062814 - Thanks Meagan
As we come to the end of principal photography on Season 4 I want to publicly thank Meagan Tandy for her BTS images.
All of her stuff this season was editorial (meaning the pictures told a story and gave me something to write about) without spoiling a single plot point.
Her shots from the overnight "Fraturday" shoot that just wrapped a few hours ago are awesome too.

EXTRA - Mea Culpa (My Bad!)
So y'all remember when I did that really cool video from set that I said included Dylan Sprayberry shooting a scene in Griffith Park?
Yeah, well that wasn't Dylan.
It's really obvious now that we know Ian Nelson is back on the show - but back when we first got the video in March - it looked like a new kid with dark hair - which in my mind said Dylan.
Like I said - it's REALLY obvious now that we know. It totally looks like Ian!
I have to go back and change all the file names on the images but not tonight. Tonight, I just want to apologize for getting so wrong. I promise to do better in future.
On to more pleasant matters - well, pleasant to me because I didn't have to be on set all through the night until 6AM PST this morning.
These guys seem in high spirits as work continues on the finale episode for Season 4.
It looks like they're back in Mexico where they started with the first episode last week - we'll have to wait and see what brings them full circle.
062614 - Jeff Collapses at Teen Wolf HQ!
The end of Season 4 principal photography apparently can't come soon enough for Jeff Davis.
The Teen Wolf creator/showrunner was snapped by JR Bourne lying prone on the floor in the Writers' Room at Teen Wolf HQ.
Jeff is not the only one with his face in the dirt in these final days -
Ryan Kelly Deputy Parrish crashed as his workday stretched past 4AM PDT on Wednesday.
Currently cast and crew are working on the Season 4 finale during what should be their final week on set.
062414 - Fanimation
Usually MTV's attempts at fan animation interaction strike me as forced and a kinda fake. Their new "animated recap" video is no different (still seems forced) but the end product is still kinda cool.
I hope they do more of these just for the art.
EXTRA - #TeenWolfTonight
While we're getting ready to watch the first episode of Season 4 - many of the cast and crew are busy shooting the last.

Posey did a little video which seems to be back at the Blue Cloud Ranch Mexico set where they started shooting back in February.
Others on set decided to send out some love to the fans tonight with some BTS images - mostly selfies.
A couple of these are dated - so I know they're from the finale shoot - the one of Kate menacing Daniel Flores from wardrobe and the one with Sprayberry in his lacrosse jersey are undated.
062314 - Deputy Parrish Spills
Teen Wolf Actor Ryan Kelley Deputy Parrish is featured in the Chicago Sun-Times.
They consider him a hometown boy and the piece is a lot about his neighborhood and family and stuff but there is a bit of what you can expect from his character this season too.
Check it out in something the Sun-Times calls its "The Daily Sizzle" section.
We're hearing that the Teen Wolf production is still running with a late afternoon call today for a location shoot.
None of that is confirmed confirmed but, it appears, there's no rest for the wolfies even on Debut Day.

That's director Russell Mulcahy using toys to block a scene and the tape on the floor, which tells the actors where to stand, is described by Linden Ashby as a "three way hug" which is a beautiful thing.
062014 - Season 4 Production Nears End
We should be close to the end of principal photography on the last of the Season 4 episodes.
Hoechlin reportedly mentioned they were close to a wrap during the convention in Atlanta last week.
We're still getting very little of substance from set in the final weeks.
I know they were back in Woodley Park last Fraturday for some scenes. That's where they shoot lacrosse, but there was no sign of the team on set.
Other than that, it's been pretty quiet with most of the action confined to Teen Wolf HQ in Northridge.
The older cast has been the most active on social media with shots from Jill Wagner, Melissa Ponzio, Linden Ashby and Ian Bohen offering our only window into the production.
It's unclear if the cast and crew will get Monday off so they can all watch the debut together as has been their tradition in seasons past.
061614 - New Opening Sequence for Season 4

061214 - It's quiet... too quiet
With all the video releases and "appreciation days" MTV Official is throwing at us, I'd lost sight of the fact that we've seen zip from set in like six days.
ZippidyDooDoo - Nadaroonie - Fff'all since that great shot of Meagan with a gun.
Most of the cast was traveling in Europe last week so, that's part of it I guess but it's surprisingly quiet over in Northridge.
To make up for it I've got some shots that didn't make the cut in earlier reports -
I'm not sure - but I think June 2nd marks the first time Sheriff Stilinski and Peter Hale appear in a scene together. I've been wracking my brain and can't come up with another time - so that's a bit of a milestone coming up in Season 4.
As I've reported before, one of the later episodes (Ep 409 I think) includes a DJ and Dance Party that was shot back at the end of last month.
You can see it won't be as big a production as we saw with The Bloody Beetroots in Derek's loft last season but it will be one of at least 2 dance scenes in Season 4 - the first comes in the very first episode on June 23rd.
Another thing to look for this season, exterior shots that are actually filmed inside. The production saved some money on exteriors by building movable trees and other exterior locations inside Teen Wolf HQ.
And finally - something we haven't shown in a while - the dogs of the Teen Wolf.

061014 - 2fer Tuesday!
It’s 2fer Tuesday as MTV releases TWO NEW TEEN WOLF PROMOS!
Boy! Matt, Rachel and the gang at Teen Wolf Official are being extra generous today with the release of a new trailer and some cast interviews!
First up with get Braeden and Peter talking in a new trailer call "The Benefactor" -
followed by some more BTS footage from the season and the "Can't Go Back" promo shoot along with the cast discussing what's to come in Season 4 -

While he got supremely pissed at me and this site back in the fall for publishing a picture that gave away ZERO plot points - Jeff Davis new interview with BuzzFeed gives away bunches from the first episode of Season 4.

060714 - Teen Wolf Season 4 Full Trailer
After 20 hours of desperate but ultimately failing attempts to solve their puzzle - MTV relented and gave away the answers.
The whoisthebenefactor.com site opened up and showed us the trailer for Season 4.

The Teen Wolf Marketing Team does like its little games.
Remember the big photo-collage we had to do back before Season 3? How bout the multi-hour puzzle before Season 3(b)?
We'll here is their latest torture um, I mean... fun thing standing between us and the new video -
There are 16 keywords that have to be typed in the correct order before the video will play.
Of course, in years past as soon as one person figured out how to get the video they just shared the video and the whole game was for naught so maybe this is a way to get more people involved.

If you don't recognize the location - it's Teen Wolf Purgatory or Stiles' Brain. It's the big empty warehouse at Teen Wolf HQ where the Nemeton lives.

060514 - Arden Unhappy on Set
Why is an actor's mood headline worthy? Because this is the first time since I've been covering this show (since 2011) that anyone has had anything but praise for their Teen Wolf experience.
Arden took to twitter last night to vent -
- @arden_cho - Had a great day on set be ruined by one rude person. If you screw up just apologize. It doesn't kill you to be nice.
Again - it's probably no big thing, but it's never happened before.
Cho seemed happy enough when JR Bourne snapped this picture earlier in the day.
JR also shared this image, apparently taken by someone named "Jeff," of Daniel Sharman "visiting" set on Wednesday.
That's two "visits" from two former cast during filming. As you would expect, Sharman's "visit" and one a couple weeks back from Colton Haynes has sparked speculation that one or both of them may show up in Season 4.
Adding new fuel to the folk who surmise a Jackson Whittemore cameo in an upcoming episode is this image released by Ian Bohen.
That is the cast photo wall within the Teen Wolf Production Offices in Northridge, California. We've seen it several times during the past year and it is usually updated as cast members exit or enter the Teen Wolf Universe.
You can see there that Teen Pup Dylan Sprayberry is on the wall just below the picture of Tyler Hoechlin.
The drawings of Bohen and Haynes are placed in vacant spaces, note the nails, which suggests those photographs have been removed - or not updated for the new season. But why would Colton have a space at all?
He didn't last season.

Teen Wolf Official released a new tease this afternoon - featuring actual footage from the Season 4 episodes!

060414 - Teen Wolf Dream
The "Reach for a Dream" Foundation from South Africa was on the Teen Wolf Set this week.
They brought 15 year old Loreche to visit with cast at the show's headquarters in Northridge, California.
Loreche suffers from Severe Aplastic Anemia, a particularly nasty ailment in which the patient's bone marrow stops working properly and f's up the blood.
As you would expect, the cast embraced their South African visitor with open arms -
