A list of the Big Bads of Teen Wolf, also including secondary antagonists. Please note, this list is solely my opinion on the matter and not an official list or article.

Season 1[]

In Season 1, Scott and co.'s biggest problem to deal with was The Alpha Werewolf, the first Big Bad. The Alpha was a mysterious and monstrous wolf, who wanted Scott to become a member of his pack. But while they deal with the Alpha Werewolf, they also have to face the manipulative Kate Argent. While Kate's presence in the season isn't as big as the Alphas, she still manages to hold her own and be a big problem for the crew. But each of these Big Bads both have help. Kate works with her more moral brother Chris Argent and Alpah works with an accomplice named Jennifer. By the end of the season, The Alpha is revealed to be Peter Hale, Kate is defeated (seemingly killed) by Peter, Jennifer is also killed and Chris becomes an anti-hero.

Season 2[]

In Season 2, Scott and friends' biggest problem was the Kanima. However, as it turns the Kanima isn't the Big Bad, its The Dragon, aka the second in command to the Big Bad, to its Kanima Master. And so the mystery of Season 2 begins. Who is the Kanima and who is it's master? By the end of the season, Scott and his friends realize the master is Matt and the kanima is Jackson, who doesn't remember his Kanima activities. However, Matt's reign as big bad is cut short when he is killed by Gerard Argent, who assumes the role of the new Kanima Master and is the seasons biggest Big Bad.

Season 3A[]

In Season 3A, the Pack has to deal with the two factions of villains. Darach and The Alpha Pack. Darach is a mysterious and muderous druid who commits various sacrifices to further her goals, while the Alpha Pack are open antagonists, who want Scott in their pack. By the end of the season, it is revealed that Darach is actually none other than English Teacher and Derek Hale's girlfriend, Jennifer Blake, who was once known as Julia Bacarri, a emissary for Kali's pack. After this revelation, the Alphas are all killed or reformed, leaving the Darach as the main villain and the Big Bad. That is, until Peter shows up and kills her in the end.

Season 3B[]

In Season 3B, a new unique villain arises known as the Nogitsune. Unique in that this villain isn't in the form of some big scary monster, it's in the form of Stiles Stilinski. Taking possession of Stiles, the Nogitsune also enlists the help of the Oni, a neutral camp who happens to fall on the villains side of the battle due to their summoning. In the end, both parties are defeated and things somewhat go back to normal.

Season 4[]

In Season 4, Kate Argent arises as the new main antagonist in Beacon Hills, now a Werejaguar, and having survived her apparent death. Kate wants revenge on Scott and his friends, blaming them for ruining her family's name and for Allison Argent's death. However, at the end of episode 2, another villain comes out: The Benefactor. An unknown figure who hires assassins to kill Scott and his friends, the Benefactor is eventually revealed to be Meredith Walker, with the aid of Brunski. After her reveal, Meredith is taken out of commission and Kate takes her role as Big Bad back, this time with a partner: Peter Hale. Kate kidnaps Scott and Kira and brings them to a church in Mexico, where she turns Scott into a Berserker, while Peter plans on killing him. In the end, Kate is defeated by Chris and runs off, while Scott takes Peter down and he is admitted to Eichen.

Season 5[]

In Season 5, our new Big Bads come in the form of a triumvirate of scientists, known as the Dread Doctors. However, Scott and his friends also have to deal with manipulative Theo and his pack, while Malia deals with her psychotic and devious mother, Desert Wolf.

Notes[]

  • Matt, The Alpha Pack and Meredith Walker were all Big Bads of their respective seasons. However, this list goes by who is left standing as Big Bad at the end of the season arc.
  • The Oni are not evil, they simply act as antagonists for Scott and his pack, but not by personal motivation.
  • Chris Argent was a secondary antagonist for Season 1, but only because his job as a hunter came between Scott. He is not really a full on villain in that Season, more so an anti-villain.
  • Season 5 is currently the only season without an Argent antagonist. Kate was one of the two main antagonists for Season 1, while Chris was a secondary and Allison became an antagonist briefly in the finale. Season 2 had Gerard as the main antagonist with Victoria as a secondary. Season 3b featured Kate as it's unseen tertiary antagonist and Season 4 featured her as its main antagonist.
